EDUCATIONAL AND GLOBALISTATION

From time immemorial, education has been a means of achieving a desired end. The World Bank has stated that education is central to both social and economic development, even if not as the direct provider of growth but as a catalyst, partner and facilitator. Ordinarily the State is responsible for the market andeconomic metrics of development; however the changing times have nevertheless given a thrust to linearization, privatization and globalization. As a partner, education also needs to absorb the impact of these global changes and evolve by resolving the cropping issues.
In recent times, education has moved on from being imparted only within physical locations like schools,colleges or other learning institutions. The brick and mortar classroom variety of education, though the most common even today, is hardly the only mode of learning available today. Digital or e-learning has evolved along with the increasing globalization and newer methods of imparting learning by way of digital information exchange such as media,internet, interactive e-classroom facilities etc. continue to be inducted into the fold. As the world continues to embrace globalization i.e., rapid change with universalization of usage,sharing of products,needs, values,culture, belief and thoughts, education, has also evolved and the horizons have broadened from classroom to match up-to the changing dynamic of the world’s economic system.
Often education allows the poor to earn their living and seek a path of growth and progress and for the industrialists to enable a sound system of economic growth. Increased educational levels not only allow furthering social political, economic, financials, cultural, national and international gains, they may also help in combating the global issues of international warfare, human rights violations, woman and child welfare, acute poverty and poor health standards in many parts of the world.
As demands of skilled manpower in the work-market as well as to tackle changes that a rapidly globalizing world throws up, education plays an important role to ensure a supply of the required manpower. Education is a key factor in ensuring that the ever-growing demands of human mankind ranging from food, work and shelter are met and social inequalities are not widened in a rapidly evolving world. Building systems that allow education to reach people without access to the traditional educational resources is an important step towards meeting this goal. Digital classrooms, online classes, free lectures and courses allow a larger number of people to claim access to education. While globalization has allowed education systems to evolve, it in turn these systems provides the skilled manpower required by globalized world systems. Education allows a systematic approach to arrive at solutions and eradicating shortcomings globally.
